This Christmas we remember the Gallipoli Evacuation from Anzac Cove; the ANZAC evacuation concluded just before Christmas on 20 December 1915.

However, the Anzac Centenary is an important time to remember those currently serving. This Christmas you can show our deployed service people that your thinking of them by sending a special Christmas message. Numerous Australian military personnel are currently fighting ISIS in the Middle East.

The Christmas photo shown at left was recently released by the Australian Defence Force. It shows members of Combat Support Unit and Air Task Group preparing for Christmas in the Middle East region.

The Australian military are serving at the request of the Iraqi Government, the RAAF Air Task Group (ATG) of Operation OKRA, is operating within a US-led international coalition assembled to disrupt and degrade Daesh operations. The ATG comprises six RAAF F/A-18A Hornets, an E-7A Wedgetail airborne early warning and control aircraft and a KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport.
