To mark the centenary of The Royal Australian Air Force, BrandNet - the owners of Air Force Shop, Army Shop, Navy Shop and Military Shop - commissioned this Air Force Centenary Artwork from acclaimed aviation and military artist, Drew Harrison.
The tryptic has a conceptual timeline narrative – looking to the future while reflecting on a rich past – and depicts 40 different aircraft types from across 100 years. An early 1920s Point Cook scene in the first panel contrasts with a contemporary base operation at the third panel of the painting.
On behalf of Air Force, Chief of Air Force Air Marshal Mel Hupfeld, AO, DSC accepted a print of Drew Harrison’s Air Force Centenary artwork “Then. Now. Always” presented by Stephen Davie of Brandnet at Air Force Headquarters, Canberra.
