For the recipients of the RSL Queensland Christmas Spirit Hampers it's more than just Santa bringing cheer this year.
A monumental effort by RSL Queensland has culminated in over 500 Christmas hampers being created and sent out to nominated veterans across Queensland.
Hampers contained Australian-made and Queensland-made products specially curated for each hamper
The recipients of the Christmas Spirit Hampers were individuals and families who have provided outstanding support to their local veteran community, have participated in programs run by RSL Queensland and partner organisations, or have had a challenging year.
The recipients received hampers created with Australian-made and Queensland-made products that were specifically chosen for each hamper. The hampers also included several veteran made products. A number of the products were generously offered by providers at discounts, with some products donated for the hampers. These hampers are a beautiful collaboration of sensational products bringing joy to their recipients. RSL Queensland also received financial donations from other companies who wished to show their support for the hamper project and the broader veteran community.

This project has been six months in the making, working with Districts, Sub Branches, Veteran Services Officers, and others to choose deserving recipients and bring the project together, culminating in over 100 Queensland RSL volunteers in Brisbane to pack the hampers in late November. RSL Queensland and everyone involved has come together with a fantastic effort to bring an even brighter Christmas to some members of the Defence family.
