The music video has garnered significant acclaim, winning first place in 50 international film festivals and securing runner-up positions in 19 others. Festivals in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Austria, Greece, Canada, Asia, and even Ukraine have celebrated this exceptional piece of art.

In October 2022, "Far Away Man" was named audience favourite at the 7th Art Film Awards in Cannes, France, with Wil Allen present to accept the award. The video has also been showcased at various film festivals, including the Queensland Short + Sweet Film Festival, the Cineverse Film Festival, the Canberra Short Film Festival, and the Veterans Film Festival in Sydney, where Wil met the Governor General.

"Far Away Man" received the 'Best Music Video Reflecting War and Its Aftermath' award at the Bridge of Peace Film Festival in Paris, France. As a result, the video earned an honourable mention in the Short Film category at the 2023 Marche du Film, even without a dedicated music video category.

Wil Allen will attend the Marche du Film, an annual film market in Cannes from 16 May to 24 May, culminating in the prestigious Cannes Film Festival red carpet event. While there, he will also attend the award ceremony of the French Riviera Film Festival, where "Far Away Man" will be screened live and online, with the chance to win Best Music Video.
