Q. Who was the youngest Anzac to die at Gallipoli?
A. Private James Charles "Jim" Martin is believed to have been the youngest Australian to die during service at Gallipoli. Convincing the recruiters that he was 18, Jim Martin enlisted into the 21st Infantry Battalion on 12 April 1915 at the age of 14. He landed at Gallipoli on 8 September 1915, was evacuated to the hospital ship Glenart Castle on 25 October 1915 suffering from typhoid fever, died of heart failure that same evening and was buried at sea.
